Sounds like I'll have to buy another copy to put on my laptop, which I probably won't do. This seems a bit crazy, their copy protection is making it very difficult to use the product. Ok that's fair enough I've just bought Komplete 7 and was planning on installing it on my main DAW rig and my laptop. Pisstake if this is correct. I'll try anyway. Seems I'll be ok.. Let me know if NI allows you to register and use it on both computers- it's still pretty confusing to me.
Derek L. I cant confirm anything on Komplete as I only have it installed on my main PC, but I do have Traktor installed on 4 PCs total and 2 of those are laptops used by my studio partners, therefore I am pretty certain that at one point or another, more than 1 copy was running along with an internet connection. So far no blacklist or warning emails.. Not sure about Komplete but I know that Kontakt can be loaded on more than one computer. That's all You can have up to two parallel installs but only use one at a time.
I have it on both my OS X and Windows computers. I routinely run Kontakt on 3 different machines at the same time using VEP. Never had any issues. There is nothing in the software that would actually stop you running it on 2 machines simultaneously but you are breaking the terms of the EULA if you do. Considering that I'm just spreading the workload for a single session between systems, I'm not going to lose sleep over it and I'm sure NI isn't either.
I'm sure they are more concerned with ensuring "per user" licenses, and people "sharing" their license with friends, and not so much users using VEP in a session to ease the cpu load. Hello Experts, I need your help! I want to purchase some libraries by Spitfire Audio. They need the free Kontakt Player only to work.
I would use the licensed Kontakt full, not player on the PC where I install Komplete and I would use the other free Kontakt Players on other PCs only to play 3rd party virtual instruments which only needs the Kontakt Player. Does this work? Or would I have some licensing problems with the number of the installed free Kontakt Players?
Some of the things they write in there are broken by pretty much everyone who uses the software. Why not just put in there that it can be used on three computers as long as they're operated by the one who has the license, or make an exception for the VIs, which are the plugins that usually run on more than one computer.
There you are, Kompletely wasting, Out of work, and down. I'm going along for the ride too. Messages: 6. I use it on two systems myself all the time, not illogical at all. PC and Notebook NeonPower , Mar 4, You may three installations have at the same time, but use only one. Just who cares Sometimes you have to use two computers There is no judge" It is surely rather to prevent that give someone his second and third instalations further. I have my studio pc downstairs with all the trimmings monitors, gear, etc. I also have a workstation the study next to my bedroom which a much smaller space, so I use headphones only, and has a less powerful pc.
This is where I basically "learn" how to use the new toys I get. While Komplete Ultimate 11 is fully installed on my main box downstairs I WAS about to install parts of it upstairs Rounds so I can grok how to use it. A free copy of Guitar Rig 3 to install? Compatibility specs? I'm not sure from your post. I would contact NI support. They are, after all, the creators of the software you want to install. Jmscanadyy wrote Hey guys!
I don't know if any Studio One has delievered a Komplete 5 Elements or if such have existed at all. If so you can ask Presonus Support. Or Perhaps Native instruments can help you out. But i don't think you shall exspect it.
However you have nothing to loose if trying. If your question indeed is about the full Komplete and not the Komplete Elements, then you need to contact Native Instruments only, as Komplete is a Native Instruments product - not a Presonus product.
