Remember what you loved about your job in the first place Hopefully, there was a point that you loved your job and you have just forgotten about it. Take the time to try to remind yourself why you accepted this position in the first place. Were the values aligned with yours?

Did you find the work fun or meaningful? Find that reason and focus on it! Once you remember what that reason was, you will start to feel it again. Learn or try something new Sometimes part of the reason we slip into slumps at work is because we get stuck doing the same tasks every day. Why not try to do some research and find a new strategy or idea that your company has not found yet? Not only will this look good, but you will have something new and exciting to discover and maybe a new project to lead!

Become a mentor If you have been in your position for a while, it may seem like you have tried all of our above suggestions and they just are not working. Try mentoring! There was a time when you were new in your company or even your career and you may have loved to have someone take you under their wing. Why not try to be that for someone else?
